We’re looking for new leaders and partners to help us bring FIGMENT to new locations.
FIGMENT is an active and positive force for change in nine cities in three countries on two continents. In each city, we have a local volunteer team that works together to create free arts events in a spirit of participation and inclusion. Through these events, we are building our creative communities in each city, and working to transform ourselves as leaders and artists and our communities into more vibrant and creative places to live.
FIGMENT is growing at a pace that is manageable and realistic for us, adding events in a few new cities each year. In order to start a new FIGMENT event, and start to build a community around it, the first step is finding the right local producer. It isn’t easy work, but it’s incredibly rewarding. And there’s a ton to learn. The FIGMENT producer is the volunteer community leader who marshals all the local resources to make FIGMENT happen: the volunteer team, the organizational partners, the relationships with local government, and the financial resources. The local producer works in partnership with our global admin team, and our growing network of producers and teams in other cities, to learn our process, principles, tools, and resources, and to gain mentoring, coaching, and peer-to-peer support to help you make FIGMENT in your city the best it can be.
