Self-reliance isn't just about bringing your own toothpaste and making sure to clean up after yourself. At ALPHA, you'll be encouraged to use those inner resources to create the project of your dreams. Not sure what those inner resources are? Here are a few questions to consider:

• When do you feel most confident?
• If you had to describe your creativity in 3 words, what would they be?
• What specific knowledge or skills do you have that might be surprising to an acquaintance?
• What types of challenges do you enjoy?

Do you see any themes in your answers? Anything surprising?

You can utilize your strengths by finding artistic outlets that take advantage of them, or you can share those strengths with others. Are you action-oriented, organized, and a problem solver? Maybe you should be helping plan a larger project with a group of people! Do you really enjoy card games that no one really knows about? Try teaching those card games, creating your own deck of cards, or work with a friend to develop an entirely new game. The opportunities are endless!
